Bucky laughs softly and he can't help but smile. Maybe that's just the old him being hopeful, the version of him that didn't fall off a train and become the Fist of HYDRA, and he's glad it can still show up once in a while. He ducks his head to kiss along her neck and keeps his lips soft as he moves along her skin.
"I've always been an optimist. It's the American in me."
He doesn't think he's an American anymore, not the kind of patriotic one he was before the war, but it's easy to pretend he's a young soldier with a beautiful girl in some European bar when he's kissing Wanda and touching her with hands that dont't feel quite so weighed down and heavy. He doesn't want to be here and he doesn't want to be under the influence of a drug-laced apple but it makes things...simpler.
"Besides, I've gotta outdo myself next time. It's required."
