My mother died in childbirth, my lady. I wouldn't want that for anyone I cared enough about to be with so aye, I am afraid of having a child. I think it's a wonderful thing to have one but then every action you take after it means you have to be more cautious because you have someone else to think about.

( Jon knows this makes him soft, to care so much about the duty of women, but he does and he'll accept being soft. )
