Bucky thinks it's incredibly strange to feel this connected to anyone. He doesn't think it happened before the war and it damn sure hasn't happened since he got recovered from HYDRA but it feels nice. It feels wonderful for someone to just understand without him trying to put it into words that don't make sense or feel inadequate.

Karen feels like the kind of woman he could pour his troubles out to and she would just listen without judgment. He feels like she wouldn't care about his bloody past and would focus on who he's trying to be now. He hopes it's true and not just the drink.
