The kiss is a much better idea than skirting around his own issues because the last thing he wants is to be a sap and make this whole thing awkward. Kissing is much better. He threads his fingers in her hair and sucks at her lower lip, wanting to make it even more pouty than it had been before. It's a strange thing to do, to keep moving the goalposts, but he enjoys it.

Sex is something that isn't complicated and he needs a whole lot more of uncomplicated in his life. Maybe this place isn't the shithole he originally thought it was (or maybe it's sex talking).
