He grins more. There's a small, low laugh, joining the smaller man. He shakes his head and motions to those around them. "I could, but I'm not sure yet. I'm not sure you aren't the perfect partner for me." It has nothing to do with fact that this man looks a little closer to his age. It also has nothing to do with the fact that he's available without having to take a partner away from someone else.

"Plus, I don't think you can be that bad. Maybe we can surprise them and ourselves. We won't know until we try." He's still stubbornly hopeful that he might have a partner to dance with.
